Question BTU values of various fuels?

Can someone steer me to a web site or provide BTU contents of propane and hardwood pellets. I'm setting up and new shop and debating heating fuel. I have propane, will have to run line under ground to building, can buy pellets. Am also considering air conditioner with heat pump capabilities and propane or pellets as back up in real cold weather. Would like to have heater that uses outside air for combustion will sealed combustion, safer if one spills fuel. Am also considering propane heater near ceiling for the same reason. No longer in Colorado, have moved to west central Missouri. Thank you in advance. Ken

The US Forest Service has one for various types of wood, moisture content and other fuels, That document has a link to an Excel spreadsheet where you can plug in the values and compare costs for each fuel.
