Default What is it?

My father stoped by the other day and drop off a new toy for me that he bought from a rummage sale. Nobody knew what it was ,but my dad knew I liked just about anything with a flywheel so he picked it up.

The flywheel would have originally sat on top of the stand “was broken off at some point”. The flywheel atttached at the top of the stand would have acted as a fulcrum to which a long pole is attached. On one side off the pole there is a adjustable counterweight and on the other end a pulley that drives a right angle gear drive that has a hook on the end of the spindle. The flywheel would have had a leather rope belt that would have attached to the gear drive pulley on the other end. There are no manufacture markings anywhere.

I’m totally stumped on this one?????

Thanks guys,

I told my wife it would be something so simple I wouldn’t be able to figure it out. It’s probably better it’s missing the shears, my wife might try using it on me!

Thanks again,
Brent
