Default MYSTERY...Brass carb?

Hi...just wondering if any of you experts out there can help a buddy of mine out. He has this real nice little brass carb and would like to know if anybody can identify it. Like who made it? And what engine was it possibly used on? The only identifying marks on it are the little shield that you can see in the picture that says..."Made in the U.S.A.". Thanks in advance.

I agree with Rob (nice call). I remember seeing the part on an IHC made tractor, but you hit it exactly.

Al
