Default Engine show suggestions for 2015

Hi guys, I have a group of about 6-8 engine collectors from Germany planning to visit next year in spring, most likely May or June. They have about 10-14 days play time and want to combine at least one show (two if they fall on consecutive weekends) and a visit to some collectors and/or dealers between.
They are mostly into the heavy machinery (I just picked up a Bessemer half-breed for one of them). Is there already a date set for Coolspring next year? Any suggestions somewhere at the eastern shore, over to MI/IN/IL/IA and down to MO/MS area.
Some of them expressed interest looking to purchase as well.
Would be nice if there are 2 great shows back to back to make the most out of it.
Appreciate everybody's input, thanks

kinda slim pickings that early, but Sandwich IL is held at the end of june. Its not a huge show, but its always an interesting one that is predominatly engines.

Thiel,

There is only one correct answer to your question.
Without a doubt they must attend the Coolspring show which is June 18-20, 2015.

This show should be on everyone's list as a must attend next year.

I don't know of any shows within a reasonable distance just before or after the Coolspring show, but there are plenty of great collections which they could visit. You might also be able to get into the Kinzer's show grounds and see their fine collection as well.

In 2011 I had a tour group of European collectors travel with me after the Coolspring show. By the end of that tour they thought that camstoppers were common engines

Tom,

You're right it doesn't seem like it was that long ago. But I checked and 3 years ago was when we were at your place.
That was a great trip although it really gave the Europeans a false impression on what was rare or not in North America.

Hope to visit you again some time in the future.

george

We are always available to show our engines by appointment... we have a 70 HP Bessemer and a 15 HP Reid with standard rig. Check us out at www.johnnieboston.com There are links on our website for each piece as well as our show that we have twice yearly in July and November.

Hello George,
as you know I was one of the European collectors with you as touroperator/guide, and must say this trip was one of the best I`ve done ever! I have seen so many engines in europe and of course at Nuenen, but still saw, new to me, engines every day we visited the very friendly collectors in the USA
this was a trip never to forget
Thank you so much for your effort

Hope to see you again in Coolspring 2015?

Anton
