Default John Deere E 1-1/2 hp hit and miss cam and governor bushing size? HELP!

I'm looking for the inside diameter of the cam and govenor bushings for a John Deere E hores and a half hit and miss engine (are they both the same?). I know they can easily be purchased but being a Machinist, I'd rather make them myself. Also, what is the purpose of the knoch in the end of the bushings? I'm new to this hobby and this is my first engine restoration. Any info on this is greatly appreciated.

Forget right off hand, but I think you'll find the cam and governor shafts to be worn and hence, undersized. I just used my shafts as reference to make some new bushings. The cut outs are for oiling, point them to the inside and up.

How much clearance should there be between the shafts and the inside of the bushings? A few thousands?

The part numbers for the bushings are the same, also fits the 3hp .
