Default Original Paint Preservation

In the past there has been a lot of discussion on how to preserve original paint on engines such as mixtures of boiled linseed oil, AT fluid, WD-40, Penetrol, etc. Are there any new materials, what seems to work the best? I have three engines that have considerable original paint and pin striping, so I am looking for ideas. The engines have been cleaned with kerosene so I am moving on to the next step.

Default Re: Original Paint Preservation

Hi I had a 1 1/2 Hercules that had a lot or original paint that i de-greased and then clear coated with Rust-Oleum 2x gloss clear coat and it look good i think. BUT if you use de-greaser be careful because it could wash the paint of some engines it does and some it doesn't.
