Gasoline was $1.50 per litre in Vancouver this morning. If my rithmetick is correct, that is about $7.50 US a gallon. I paid $60 here yesterday to get two 3/4 filled jugs for the lawn mower.
Yes, times have certainly changed.

When I got my license in 1967, self serve was $0.219 / gal, full service was $0.259.

I would suppose way higher volume was the reason for it being about the same as the 1907 price. (Currently $3.159 as of last friday, but that's boonie price.)
