Thanks for the input. I haven't had time to look at it past unpacking it, wiping it down and taking a couple pictures. All input and suggestions on where to start are appreciated.

Nice find! Start by cleaning and sealing tank. Then disassemble and clean carb and check valve in pick up tube. Be very carefull if you remove flywheel and bearing. Bearing tabs are very fragile. Only tighten mounting bolts hand tight!

Thanks Kevin, I will start there. I will get a spark plug and gasket set headed in my direction. What should I do for the exhaust? How about a buzz coil, should I get one of the new ones I see on Ebay when I look up maytag motors?

ThisGuy, the set up for the exhaust would have been either an approximate 10" long pipe with the cast iron pancake muffler screwed on it or a flexible tube that has an aluminum pipe fitting cast on it for the engine end and pancake muffler on outboard end as above. The flexible pipe set up is rare as hens teeth (even just part of it). There is a nice reproduction of the muffler itself on eBay. I think the pipe is 1/2" NPT. Be carefull handling the castings, they are fragile. A model T buzz coil will work fine for these and are inexpensive. Hope this helps. Kevin

Are Marvin McCullough's manuals still available? I picked the twin manual up on Ebay at the beginning of the year and it's great. I could definitely use one for the upright and my buddy wants the 92 manual. I don't see any on Ebay and I don't remember who the seller was I got it from.
