Default Maytag 92 compression

I have a mo 92 made in 1935 how much compression (psi) should it have. what was the compression from factory?

If you try to use a compression tester, you will be lucky to get 50-60 PSI out of it. You are better using the 'bounce method. ith a little oil on the rings, kick the engine smartly. As it stops, it should bounce several times on compression. If it just mushes thru, or does not bounce back, dis-assemble, and check for stuck/worn rings, and or cylinder wear, and remedy as nescessary.

Maytag literature from 1934 indicates "about 40 pounds per square inch".
