Hi. I am not an expert by any means but wouldn't a charger from an electric golf cart or forktruck do the trick?

Look up "Trace Inverters" on the web. They produce some of the best of the breed.

Take care - Elden

Exclamation Re: 48v battery charger.

I have a 48 volt charger from a Gamewell fire alarm system. not sure of the ampage, but it has 2 modes - maintain, and rapid. The system had 8 - 6 volt 15 amp batteries, which powered the alarm system in town. The system was dismantled due to upgrades a number of years ago, and I salvaged the charger from a dumpster!
