first picture is of the late Charlie Matthews of Thornhill Ontario of his Fowler steam truck.second picture is of Allen Byers of Orillia Ontario and his 30 - 60 Sawyer Massey gas tractor and the third picture is a GS@M Beaver tractor

1. Nichols and Shepard 78 hp ? owened by John (J.D.) Calder of Jerseyville ontario.this engine now belongs to John's grandson and is located in the Earlton area.


2.Buffalo Pitts engine.anybody know who owened this engine?


3. 25 hp George White side mount.this engine looks like Watsons of Kilbride Ontario but the front wheels look differnt in this picture.


4. Rumely Oil Pull model F 15 - 30

1.Case Engine.not shure who owened this one eather?


2.Sawyer Massey 25 hp side mount owened by Sherwood Hume of Milton Ontario.in this picture it looks like it was still owened by Win Nichols as Win owened it before Sherwood did.


3.76 hp Sawyer Massey double cylinder engine


4.20-22 hp Sawyer Massey.not shure who owened this one aswell.could this be the engine Tom Cobo has now ?.

1. 18 hp Buffalo Springfield steam roller owened by Jim Cleave and then Jim Laidlaw of Brampton/Streetsville Ontario untill he passed away a few years back.does anybody know what is happening with this engine?.this roller spent some time in the old Ontario Ag Museum in Milton aswell

Anybody out their in Smokstak/Steam - Era land remember Gordon Brigdens snow Plow and have a picture of it ?.i have seen only one with him standing beside it at his shop in Hornby wich was in the Silver 25th Anniversary book in 1985.John

John, the Buffalo-Pitts was owned by Neil McPherson of Norwich, Ontario. Son Don McPherson is operating it in the photo. I don't know where the engine ended up after the McPherson's sold it - do any Stakker's know what became of it?

The third picture with the George White has the ultra rare 30-60 Fairbanks gas tractor following in the parade along Brown Street.

Yes that is the one, damn shame they liquidated the rarest tractor in their collection for a few dollars.

The 30-60 Fairbanks was owned by the museum, it came from John? Davidson from Detroit in I think around 71 for @ $1700 or something ridiculous . The 15-30 Fairbanks was on "loan" (stored)

was the 15 - 30 the Canadian FM tractor that was on loan ?.I think Dave Garbutt owened it?.it used to come down to Steam era for years when it was still in the Museum.John
