Walter my brother is running NGK plug #B2LM on one of his Maytag twins. The other is running on MotorCraft plug #AL7C.

He is also using Champion #J19LM.

He is very shortly getting an original set of Maytag plugs for a twin, that will probably go into his cutaway twin.

Hopefully this helps.

Hi Walter,
As long as the plug is the proper heat range for the engine no matter the brand it should be ok to use. If you have a weak??? igniton theres nothing (as a rule) that any plug is going to do to help more than one or the other and give satisfactory service. Weak spark is Weak spark. The proper size plug is the proper size. Its just advertising rhetoric on the sellers part.
The most important thing to do to get good spark is make sure all ignition components are in proper working order. As a rule weak spark is due to bad coils, dirty points, bad condensers, bad wires and so on.
Now that said if you have a engine that has good spark already and its having plug fouling problems there are things you can do with plugs to marginally help like hotter heat ranges. But this is only stop gap measures to put off with dealing with whats fouling the plugs. Mark
