Default Resealing a cork float?

I have a Briggs cork float that has lost it's "float" can they be dried out and resealed and if so with what in light of the ethanol in gas? This one looks like it has been sealed once before, but is lifting now.

Try a hobby shop and get model airplain DPOE clear it works grate and the gas dont bother it.

I have dipped cork floats in gas tank sealer with no problems.
