Default IHC 3-5 LB measurments

I need a couple of 3-5 LB measurments.
1) Overall length of the piston/rod, otherwords from the top of the piston to the flat machined surface of the con rod(this will measure to 1/2 the crank pin diameter).
2) Crank pin diameter
3) Crank pin width

Thanks for looking

I could use the size of the bore, and the length that a sleeve would be to bore and sleeve a 3-5 ihc lb. (my cylinder blew out)

I have a 3-5 in storage down the road that I finished up last spring. It was a fun project but now it just sits there. Hint, hint

Hi Marty-
I don't have one apart right now to measure the sleeve length, but a 3-5 LB takes three 1/8" compression rings and a 1/4" oil ring in a 4.0" diameter cylinder. It is really rare to find one that is over sized. They almost never got bored over sized.
Thanks,
Dave Reed

As common as these engines are, it woud be FAR cheaper to find another block or another parts engine.

Mesurments for both of you.
Preston, Length of piston/connecting rod; 10 1/2 inches
Crank pin dia; 1 27/32 inches or 47.46 mm
Crank pin width; 1 9/16 inches or39.9mm

My caliper reads in mm and I am not good with metric so I laid it on a ruler to convert.

6hpMarty, Cylinder length is 9 1/2 inches
Cylinder bore is 4 inches
Piston is about 3 15/16 inches

Hope this helps. Bill K

Thank you Bill and for all replies. 6hpMarty I have a 3-5 block in storage. I could dig it out and look at the bore condition but you might be better (cheaper) finding one at a local show than shipping cost. Thanks
