I'd like to bump this thread - I'm looking at buying this magneto as a possible replacement for an FX1 ED1 on a New Way and I'm on the dreaded 5-day clock until the end of the auction. There was a book mentioned in the below thread that was giving information on the standardization of magneto dimensions.

http://www.smokstak.com/forum/showthread.php?p=826002

Can anyone post a link, post copies of the entire section referenced in this thread, at least give the name of the book, etc. so I can try to cross reference between the FB1 and the FX1 to determine if they are possible substitutes for each other? Complicating this is the fact that both of my FX1's are at a mag shop getting repaired so I can't just go out and measure mine and get Steve to measure his and trade digits.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have 3 or 4 FX1 ED1 mags in the shop if you need one...all are rebuilt and I believe 1 or 2 have impulses on them...

Not that I have put in them, but they are hot so they do not need them.
