Default 346 Arrow Engine

What are the dimensions and availability of the following parts for the 346 Arrow Engine:

Piston Pin P/N 7

Piston Pin Bushing P/N 17

The idea is to use these parts in the F-M ZA 10HP Project.

Well, we never built the Fairbanks engines here at Arrow. But we do mfg aftermarket parts for them.

I cant tell you the deminsions. But I can tell you that they will work in the 10hp Z's

Call Ed at Hit N Miss. They are a sponsor here and an Arrow dealer. The part#s you'll need to order are 7-346 and 17-346.

Thanks Doug.

Is there a list of after market parts for the 10HP Z engines?

No list that I know of, unless someone here has already done the same thing

The parts that I know will interchange are:
Valves
Valve Guides
Valve Seats
Valve Springs
Valve Keepers
Head Gasket
Crank Gear
Wrist Pin
Wrist Pin Bushing
Head Studs

Also, If you ever need a piston and a rod for a 10hpZ, you can use the 346ZC piston and rod. The rings are different than the 10hp Z, but the bore is the same so only you will know its out of a later engine. "10hp Z rings are really wide 3\8" I think....the 346 rings are 1\4".
And the 346 rod has insert rod bearings, instead of babbit.

Also........If you need a cyl head for a 10HP Z the 346ZC Cyl head will work just fine, you will just have a different carb.

And All of the above is true with:

15hp Z and 503ZC

20hp Z and 739ZC

Thanks again Doug,

Right now I would like to find an original head if at all possible.

Your comment about the rod bearing is interesting. The parts list for the ZA shows a precision insert but my rod has a poured bearing. Is it possible to get a new/used rod cap?

Slowly this old bird is coming together, thanks to the Stak family.
