Default Anybody know details on this?

So this is what I decided to get. I just love the style of this little thing. It is a "blue grass, twenty five."
I think the twenty five means 2 speed, 5hp. Anybody know who made this thing for sure?

The engine has a Flo-Jet carburetor, so it's either a 6hp or 7hp. The metallic blue and white colors look a lot like Ford. And the "Twenty-Five" probably refers to the width of the cutting blade.

I'm going with a ID of a mid 1960's MTD product sold thru a discount chain store. Is there a data tag on it that has a model number? We can tell you more about your machine given that info. On the engine's flywheel cover, under the decal, is some stamped numbers. There will be a model, type and code. These numbers will allow us to decipher the engine particulars for you.
