Default International 1930's B3-136WP-1-1/2 ton Help!

My boss purchased what he believed was a 1930 International, he has made it into a rat rad. When purchased no title was given and we are having a very hard time getting a title.

I did some research and this seemed to be the place to come I have attached a photo plus I will type it out because it is hard to read. I have a title company willing to help me but I need to be sure of the year of this machine. One thing we swapped the motor out because it was seized. The only numbers I could locate on the motor are as follows - FAB216619 any information you guys can provide would be awesome!

Info on plate which is located around front passenger fender

Model - B3-136WP-1 1/2 TON

Chasis - B3-16234

Body/Cab/Load/Equip - 6250

Chasis Wt - 3928

Total Chasis Wt - 10178

Frt Axle Gro - 2860
Rear Axle Gro - 7650

That's a rare truck. According to what I can find it was only built for two years...1933 and 1934. The 5 digit serial number would make it a 1934. It appears that it was phased out by 1935 in favor of the more streamlined Model "C" trucks.

We need pictures of the complete truck, please. B3 1 1/2 tons are not very plentiful. I have a 1933. I think yours is a 1934 by the chassis number. Verify the chassis number on the frame before you proceed with the title. It is stamped on the driver's side frame horn where the front bumper attaches. Please do not scrap the FAB engine, parts are getting scarce.

If this worked the link should take you to the thread on my truck. I was told my truck was a 1930 when I bought it, also without a title.

the FAB is a wetliner engine, worse case remove the rods and pull the piston and liners together. Definitely worth saving. Could have a mag or gear driven generator with the distributor driven off the back of the genny.
I have seen a mag option in literature but never seen one in person. Even the gear driven generators aren't that common anymore.

I own one. It’s an unusual truck, but probably more because it had wood in the cab and therefore the cabs imploded over time.
I started mine and all the neighbors ran over. Quite the exhaust sound!
It’s the “depression” version of the IHC A series. The A series had
more brightwork and a lot more models. B just had B-3 and B-4.
Mine evidently was not driven much as the shackle pins showed no wear and no slop in the kingpins. And it started!
You are giving your DMV too much credit. They wouldn’t know a B-3 if it fell on them. If your boss insists on running International name plates then just buy a cheap, newer IHC and tag it as that.
Laugh at CA all you want. We have no such tagging issues.
