And a couple more. All I had was my phone so they aren't the best. I hope they post some from the airplane and the aerial lift!

One of Jim Zora and his grandson talking to Lyle Stomp. Jims Case is in the background. Clyde Hall is on the 30-60 Rumely in one of the earlier photos. They had tractor of all sizes and makes and models. Even one hand feed thresher powered by a stationary gas engine.

Congratulations to all involved. In chatting a few times in the spring with a gentleman who was invoved, going to planning meetings, etc., one can see that a tremendous amount of effort that went into this.
It would be interesting to hear some stats when they come available - bushels threshed, etc..
Thanks guys.
RM.

Kudo's to the event organizers. Everything went surprisingly smooth. We were sure proud to be a part of this.

Our steamer was belted to the biggest threshing machine that did the most work. Our whistle marked the official start, and even the dignitaries threw the first sheaves into our outfit!

A lot of straw has gone out the blower since this old thread began.
A new record was set in St. Albert, Ontario in 2015 with 111 outfits:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpBCfYx2Qic

The record was reset at Austin, Manitoba in 2016 with 139 outfits:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hxjf0OSUjgg

There may be another effort at St. Albert, Ontario in 2019?

Remarkable. Even if they only have to all run for five minutes you can imagine how many people it takes to accomplish this, this doesn't get done with just a handful of organizers and 243 promises. Imagine the backup plans, repairs made, hauling, etc. I wonder how many bundles this event requires?

It was Remarkable to see and be part of
there will be some good video from up above some day

I wasn't going to go then thought I better so made a call Saturday morning to see if they needed a engine

I ended up belted to this the same guy had 4 large ones belted to tractors

the countless hours to set this whole thing up is Remarkable
some times he would be at 3 different shows in the same day getting people to help out and come run there machines

He has lot of good people behind him should be proud of what he has done

Congratulations to Monsieur Latour, his crew, and all the folks who took part. It was a wonderful achievement and for a good cause towards breast cancer research.
Gosh, I hope Tom Q doesn't keep wearing that pink shirt! Must be the New Yorker coming out in him?

Not to mention it is very hard to get that many good working threshing machines to pull this kind of thing off as their are alot of threshing machines out their but not all of them are in proper working condition

I wondered about that, we can usually give them a once-over and have them run Friday and Saturday for five minutes each followed by a slipping belt or loose bolt on Sunday.
We have an old Aultman that we went through over the years, was kinda hard to get any number of people free and enthused enough to completely rebuild. I had three of the straw walkers out of it several years ago, fired it up and found a rubbing noise so we decided not to run it. This year one of the members wanted to run it on a big Reeves steamer so we looked it over, belted it up and by golly it ran as long as we needed. The best thing we did years ago was to buy new belts for it, I love running that machine. Seems hard to get folks to feel the same about it, this year several friends pitched in and made the difference. Might have been one of the high points of the whole show for me, thanks to them.
