Have Fun Wendell, It's been in the same family and sat in the same place by the Gulf for about 90 years. Glad it's staying in Texas and going to have a good home and I'll get to play with it...

Here's a couple of pictures I took last week. You may not need a wrench for some of these nuts...

That is an great project.
We all can see that it have been standing outside for an while.
Notice the rearwheel an how mother nature have been busy with them.

Glad that you are going to save her now.

Keep posting about this great tractor.

Exciting project, look forward to seeing it progress.

If I didn't know better, I would have thought that that was a Semi-portable F&M power unit. Looking forward to see the finish product. Wendell, do you have the front end for it ?

It sure looks like a fun project, and a rewarding one at that!

A quick question that has been bugging me about these. How different is this engine from a Fairbanks stationary engine? One would assume since they were building stationary's they would just use the same engines maybe with a few changes?

I look forward to the progress.

TSeaberg,
I overheard someone at Peter Knight's auction say that the engine is a Fairbanks Model "N" that was used in these tractors. I am not an expert by any means on these fine tractors. Tom

Here is a photo of the serial plate from the one sold in Saskatchewan, Canada - looks like Tom is right about it being a Type "N" engine:

Amazingly the wood and the cast held up good. The cylinder may be a little bit rough though. There was a 5 gallon bucket of oil poured in through the head about 40 years ago... The gearing is surprisingly very good on it.

The part number can still be read on the face of the lugs. That tractor did very little drawbar work.
