George, I was curious about the tractor in the first pictures you took in post #19. This tractor had grouser steel on the front wheels. Have never seen a tractor like that before.

I think Fitch 4 wheel drive, nick name THE CAT. Steering was next to impossible to handle? Only maybe a couple left. F.J.W.

Mike all i can tell you about it is that it is another one of a kind Tractor in Jim's collection, it's a very early and unusual four wheel drive tractor. Jim could tell you straight away what it is. He is an amazing guy, when he used my Ipad to look at pictures he handled it better than i could and iam sure he never used one before.

All I can say is WOW!

Some I recognize, and others I've never seen or even heard of.

Still trying to get over the shock of seeing this thread show up last night!
It will indeed be hard to see another great collection dispersed but one can understand why these things sometimes must happen. Now that Jim has made this decision, we can only wish him and his family all the best wishes possible.
Can't do any more than reiterate what others have said about Jim, one of the best, a first class man in every way. The gas tractor hobby is filled with top quality people and Jim is a superstar!
He always says, you are welcome anytime, drunk or sober. I was always sober when I visited there!

Keven.......I doubt there is another JR to bulldoze his way through everything.
I suspect some pieces will go to 3 or 4 well known collections as this will be a once in a lifetime, or longer, opportunity to score some of those pieces.

Ok Checked in the Book of Bill Vosseler More Orphan Tractors
page 80.

It's called the Four Drive Tractor from Big Rapids Michigan made by John Fitch. According to the Book there are 5 Examples left 2in the States 2 in New Zealand and one in Australia. I guess it could be the Model 20-35 made around 1916-19.

Ok rooms are booked in the Super 8 from the 18 till the 24 of September. Flight will be booked soon
Will bring my Camera to take Pictures with the Girl while the Tractors are still around
The Knight Sale was amazing but this one will be even better.
Maybe not the High Quality Restored stuff but a lot of one of a kind stuff.

Hope our Econemy is doing well enough to can afford one of them
At least the NHP and 22-40#70161 should be possible

I don't think it's a hidden secret that i am after the Hart Parr's and once thevAuction started the only way to get it is to keep bidding till you got it. In the end i am not the only one interested on them so if you want something bid up to your limit and if your lucky you get it, but i don't think i get something cheaper because no one knows i am bidding.
