Smile Jacktown this weekend

Looks like we are in for a fantastic weekend coming up. The Grove is already starting to fill in, the ice cream is ready and the apple dumplings will be hot out of the oven. Although there is a lot more to Jacktown than food, those in the know know it is a close second.

Steve it's only a short drive through two states.

There are a couple of us coming down from central NY. If you see a Gypsum Express hat it might be me.

Was at the Jacktown today with several hit miss engines.
Talk about engines not performing at shows. Not one of the eight engines I had, would run properly. One by one failed to start, failed to run if it did start. One or more developed real world mechanical problems. In short, non would run properly today & all had run real nicely Friday before being loaded.
If my engines didn't run Friday, they weren't getting on the trailer & making the trip to Jacktown.
I have to thank Andrew Mackey, for his assistance in helping me with diagnostics & solutions to a few of my problems.
The man gives so much of his time & knowledge to others at the show. Thank you Mr. Mackey.
Also thank Bill Lopoulos for his professional services rendered on several magneto's.
What an attendance was there today, free parking, free admission to a great day out in the country in perfect weather conditions. We all have to thank those people in Jacktown, who hold the show & provide all the things necessary to be able to hold a show of this proportion.
Shane.

My brother, nephew and I made it there today. We started walking around at
8:30 and when we were leaving I looked at my watch and it was 2:30. What a great time and the crowd just kept getting bigger and bigger and a lot of people were having a great time.

We all left some good money at the flea market.

The food was great, the apple dumplings were addictive.

Thanks to everyone at Jacktown.

I saw a lot of new faces (how could you not with that crowd), and missed some of the old ones. For the few that weren't there I hope everything is okay with you and your families. Perhaps you can get back to us in January.
Alan
