Very fun and informative thread.
Very rewarding to learn so much from so many like minded enthusiasts!
Looks like we are loosing some of the photobucket pictures to accounts that are not up-dated? Not sure how this works or who can or cant see pictures.
Is there a fix to this?
Thanks again everyone for sharing,
Tony

Tony, photobucket quit doing third party hosting, like if you uploaded pics to photobucket you could then link them to a forum such as smokstak. In order to do that now you have to "pay" for an upgraded service with them. I quit them and went with imgur which allows third party hosting with no charge.

I know this isn't the place to discuss this issue, but I haven't seen an answer yet?
Say one HAD a photobucket account, and now can't use it because he will not pay there fees when other sites are free. If he were to switch to another hosting site, is there any way he can update all his old threads here?
Yes, he is me

I would slowly go though the hassle of updating my threads if I could, but editing is only for a short window on this board it seems?

Hey All,

I found an Old John Deere Breaker Plow in a woods near my house a fey years back and im trying to figure out what to do with it.

I think it is at the point where it can be fixed up if I can find the right parts or parted out.... I would like to get is operating again but would need a new moldboard and the smaller cast wheel to make it original.

what are your guys' thoughts?

That is a pretty neat old collector piece.
You could put it in the "drawbar tool" section of the classifieds and ask for parts to fix it or list it for sale.

Try Dave from The Beda company. He knows everything about John Deere plows and has written some books about it.
Another one is Tyler the plow guy. Just google it to contact them.

I just bought this plow this past weekend and was wondering if anybody on here had any information on it. I'm pretty sure its a J.I. Case Plow Co. plow but dont know the model # or what time frame it was built. I assume its late teens or early twentys because of the chain lift. The furrow wheel has been changed sometime in the past. Thanks!

Zach,
That is a really early, really neat old plow!
Looks very restore-able and is unusual because of it's age, chain lift and being three bottom as so many are just two.
Back at the time of manufacture, a fairly strong and reliable tractor would be needed to make proper use of that three bottom especially in large sections of heavy soil.
Bumping this thread to see if any of our educated JI Case or Wallis enthusiasts can date or know what model this plow is.

I don’t know how I missed this the first time! Yes it is a JI Case Plow works. The model would either be an Enicar or #2 there was not much difference in them the wheel height being one of them. Yours is a later one by the number and the power lift tail wheel. Time period for these plows was 1916-1924 or 25. I would say yours is early 20’s. If it could be for sale I would love to add it to my collection. If you measure the height of the wheels that would tell us more

An Ohio survivor followed me home. This one is a #5 P&O chain lift.

Default Moline plow help

Friend of mine just bought this disc plow. I believe it to be 1928 or 29 due to the Moline markings. In 29 the MM logo would have started being used. Any help on a positive ID would be appreciated.

Nice plow. Id be more inclined to call it a one way disk. We got an old MM disk plow last year. Its a bit different.
