Default Collectors versa non collectors the answers

Non collectors think that collectors are nuts , and visa versa. a typical non collector question is "what do you do with that stuff?". I have several answers to that question. 1. I play with it! They are then convinced that I am nuts. They have a ball and bat , they play with it don't they. 2. It is a part of history and invention. Most people have absolutely no knowledge of the sciences. (physics and chemistry) 3. I live in a museum , what a great place to live! 3. This is my artwork. Do you go to a museum and ask them ," What do you do with this stuff?" Regards , Ron

Few people are aware or consider the role that internal combustion engines play in their lives... even fewer appreciate the history of the development of the amazing machines that do labor everyday so we don't have to.

I tell people that these engines operate on the exact some principle as their new car engine. The only difference is in different systems that have been developed more in their new $125,000 automobile, now you have something to talk about.

Its is incredible how truly ignorant todays generation has become! And being 34 years old I am one of them! Ask where food comes from and they will say "the store". The closer you get to a larger city and the dumber they get!! I have been collecting and displaying this equipment for over 20 years and have been asked countless times at auctions "what in the world are you going to do with that". After I buy a engine, tractor, or my favorite an old washing machine!! That one gets every ones attention because most think the automatic washer was invented 200 years ago and that is the way it has always been done!! But at the end of the day it is nice collecting something that has a limited market...I can afford it!!
