I believe I have the original igniter from Kerosene Anne. I bought it at Oscar's Auction in a box of miscellaneous parts. When I first saw it in a box of parts, I thought what could that fit. Then I remembered KA had the igniters in the center of the heads and could take a igniter that looked like this. Didn't have a ruler so I was using my fingers to measure and it looked right. So the bolt holes are aprox 4" on center and the igniter is about 6" long from the back of the plate. Now that you guys are going to get it running for 2022. If this is the correct one, making a second should be no problem. Its all complete so making the trips etc also should be easy. I will donate it to the cause if its going to be used to make KA complete again. So not sure who is in charge of the restoration. But let me know if your interested. I will try to upload pics. So Great to see its going to be running again Ed
Luke I just looked back on the thread and saw you are one of the guys making this happen. I can bring the igniter to Crosby or if you need it before just let me know. I'm hoping its the correct one Ed

Ed, thank you so much for such a generous offer. An original part of any vintage prototype machine would truly be a shelf worthly collectable and if you had the chance to use it on said machine well that would be something in it self. That being said Oscar made a lot of changes to the original design and the ingition wes one of them. Annie now has spark plugs and a kw mag. Here is an artical that Oscar wrote on what he did to make her run. Thanks again Ed and every one on Smokstak we are the ones making this happen.

ed, thanks for the offer. it will be up to JUMP if they want to spend money on casting and making operational a second ignitor. unless Rob has a different plan, we will focus first to get it running on the converted spark plug ignition system that is currently on it. but if you did bring it to Crosby, I can relay it to rob to see if its correct as he will be to rolag this fall, 2019 for the case expo

It's too bad the cylinder sleeves weren't ported to retain the original ported exhausts.

Well as someone that wants her running with the correct parts as much as everyone else if Ed and Rob B. agree I will take on the job of restoring Ed's original and making a new one. Consider it a donation to a great cause

as we all know there is more to a trip ignition system than just the ignitor. but....that is certainly a critical piece!!

Hi all,

The Rollag Spring Meeting was held Saturday, 6 April. Kerosene Annie's trip to Rollg was announced during our afternoon general session. Wow! That is exciting news!

I saw this thread on SmokStak earlier, but had not looked at it. I will certainly be watching this thread from now on.

A big THANK YOU to everyone involved in arranging the trip. A big THANK YOU in advance to everyone that will get involved in seeing this project to completion. I am looking forward to seeing the progress.

Thanks again,
Jerry Christiansen

Hold on just a bit Ron.
Many opinions about Kerosene Annie. Especially running again!
I'm a bit giddy about the fact that Jerry heard about the news from the Rollag Spring Meeting! That ball could get rolling...
Jerry, it's been too many years. We'll sing together someday.
Let's just see what ALL of these people CAN do!
I/We've been busy with another show bits for many years on Labor Day weekend since Bob H. left us but the next show when KA is a part of?
Oh yes. We'll MAKE the time to be there. Bit players that we are.
Again in Rollag just for KA? Yep!!!

for 2022 kerosene annie will be on the stamped plate, we have a couple pictures that are in consideration but want to explore anyone that has a nice side profile picture that we may be able to use for free of course rob is going to get me some pictures but being under the glass we get some reflection off of that glass. so just throwing this out there for anyone that may have a dandy side profile picture.
