Berryville is a really nice show although the engine area has been quite crowded the last few years. They seem to dedicate more space to the flea market and vendors than to engines.

I believe Berryville, like most shows, has experienced growing pains the last few years and is having a difficult time in balancing the needs of the exhibitors with those of the vendors. Berryville is one of the few shows that has plenty of tree shaded areas for engine displays which they have not diverted to the flea market vendors. Over the last couple of years they have even expanded the engine display area by displacing the campers and tractor displays. In fact, it is there easy going attitude and "small show" feel that I enjoy, unfortunately, they don't own the land and a majority of the spectators come to shop from the vendors, not to see the displays. I remember when you had spectators, steam engines, tractors, and engines all occupying the same area, intermixing where you could run your equipment anywhere on the grounds. Those days are gone! It's still a great show where you can see a lot of good stuff.
