Contacted the auctioneer last week and they stated, on Friday will be paper items only "books, manuals and such". On Saturday, will be all the engines and tractors.

It would be really nice to see some kind of list on the literature. Not going to spend money on a hotel unless I know what is there. Any idea Mark what kind of stuff is there???

I'm sure the list will be up with option for proxi-bid. You can see examples by looking at some of Aumann Auctions' other sales.

Our travel plans put us just east of Chicago on Thursday night. Any suggestions on NW Indiana museums or interesting couple-hour side trips prior to the Friday 1pm auction start? Thanks, -Joe B

The Auburn-Cord-Deusenberg museum is one that I think is a must see. That's in Auburn, Indiana, about twenty to thirty minutes from the auction site. Also, if you are into old books, there is a GREAT book shop in Fort Wayne called Hyde Brothers; I have spent way too much there over the years! They don't have much by way of farm literature, however. There's also a museum by the Kruse complex, but I know how many of you feel about them after the fiasco last year.

I hope to be there on Saturday to meet some of you and see the tractors!!!!

The Eagle Boys (Jerrod & Warren Werth) along with thieir father Larry are taking their MOM to the Parker Auction. It has been brought to my attention she is going for two reasons. One is to keep the Boys out of the strip clubs, that means you too German George, and two I think they have her talked into buying a tractor. I have suggested finding Mom a guy to talk too and keep her distracted.

If everyone stops at the strip clubs, maybe they will be distracted by the pretty ladies and forget about the auction.... That way I will get a good buy on what I plan on bringing home...

Before purchasing an item at this sale, look it over closely. This is not a George Schaaf quality auction......

I did notice a LOT of modern looking bolts on the big Mogul. Thought that was kind of out of place on a tractor of this rarity. Anyone else notice that?

As for the Mogul.......find another one.......

You can't change bolts in something you don't own.......

Like it or not.......I've never let a bolt stand in the way of anything.

Hummmm,
If you have the resources to bid against Mr. Schaff,
$400,000 or $500,000 may buy you the priviledge to swap out some of those modern looking bolts
