TWest,
Thank you for the videos. I know both the gentlemen you show and they are first class chaps. But, funny thing, they just don't seem to have the, um, je ne sais quoi of the Frauleinschlepperstartermitbikini in Jeorg's post # 50!
RM.
ps - neither of the above men could pull off posing in a bikini either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like a lot of you, I started these or something quite like them (F-30 and a McCormack-Deering) on a daily basis, long before video. Nice footage. Thanks

The intervening years have not improved my spelling, I meant McCormick-Deering.

Our favorite saying around here is that no matter how good she looks, somewhere some guy is tired of putting up with her s&*t.

Interesting demonstration on Caterpillar diesel starting.
How about any other makes starting with heat, air, or shot gun shell?

I'd forgotten about this one.
It was pushing 100º that day and EVERYTHING was acting stupid.........
The Townsend would fire easily enough but wouldn't keep running........until this part.......

I'm sure that I know the girl in Jorg's post - if I remember rightly, her name is Allis

The ONLY thing I noticed about Jorg's post is that the weather must have been a little cool. It took the poor girl's breath away when she sat on that metal seat. Now you guys all have an excuse to go back and view the video just to see her reaction
when she touches down.

Not sure if it was a little cool, might have been the difference in temperature that took away her breath Anyway, I'll share my hand cranking vid as well. This one was taken after I repaired the impulse.

Thanx Jim,
Thought I better go back and have another look just to make sure no girls were being mistreated in the making of that video!
Used to help out on steam train excursions in the 70s. There was a gal who was a regular on them and she always seemed to be welcome up in the cab with the old hand railroaders. She said she really liked steam as she loved watching that big piston rod going in and out.

It was WAY too nice a day to spend at a computer or in front of a TV so I did this.
I've been planning on making a video starting my 18-36 Hart Parr but it's standing in a spot where I can't get a decent camera angle SO I started the 12-24 instead.......

I over primed it....... .......it probably would have started on the second compression but that would have removed the suspense wouldn't it?.......

Your version of overpriming is much different from mine.... I thought it was going to be a minute of watching you change plugs! LOL!
