Default Horse drawn, 2 row, 8 disc, planter, is it a John Deere?

This was found a couple of years ago under much brush and weeds on a farm in NJ. If I scrape the top paint down there is evidence of green paint on the iron. It is still very strong, we moved it with a strape and back hoe and both wheels still turn! Where would I find the JD marking? Exactly what is it called. I searched 2 days and can not find another photo like this. It measures 6 1/2 ft across, wheels are 40 in. and 4 1/2 in wide, marked S72C right & S 73C left. There were remnants of 2 boxes used for the seeds. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Sure looks like a 2 row potato planter!. Now John Deere sold the Hoover line of potato planters. So even if John Deere sold it it might not say John Deere on it.

McCormick Deering had a lighter green color on their potato planters.
