G'day all, I have been on and off Smokstak for many years. I live in Mildura; Victoria Australia. Nice rural area. I have a soft spot for early Hornsby oil engines. I have 3 Akroyds, 4 x O5 style oil engines, a 3hp petrol hornsby and a 7hp Inboard hornsby stockport engine. 1 vertical Hornsby Aussie made (it's also engine No1) English made Atlas Oil engine, Watts, 8hp Blackstone, 5hp Warwick spirit engine(Eagle) Aussie built star and Graham. Still got my first ever open crank - a 2hp KA Stover, runs like a swiss watch.

Hi Vernon I live in New Zealand. I've been collecting for 25 to 35 years. I had 45 stationary engine and 13 stationary steam engines. A 1903 Peugeot Type 54 5HP 1 Cylinder 2 seater partly restored, a 1923 Itala Tipo 50B Tourer an older restoration. Had a serious car crash in August 2008, lost my job, house. I'm still not working 150 pills per week for the pain. I decided in 2012 to sell my whole collection. I'm down to a 1903 Peugeot car (PR), a 1907 Ericsson 5 Inch Improved Hot Air Engine (O), a 1911 Belliss and Morcom 36 BHP vertical steam engine (O), a 1912 Mason & Porter (NZ made) engine (O), 1920s Medway Petrol Motor (R), 1923 Itala Tipo 50B Tourer (R), 1944 Reader Twin Cylinder Steam Engine Set driving a 35.8 KVA generator (O). That's all. The (Original) (Restored) (Partly restored). But I've still got another 1000 small items to sell yet. IE: Toasters, scales, dolls prams, dolls, collection of stoves, models, magazine's, books, cash registers etc. My shed is 360 Square Meters in size. Regards from Geoff McCarten

Engine No: 1103 Speed: 400 Listed HP: 2 Tested HP: 2 1/2. I have talked to other NZer's, we think it might have been made 1912, 1913 or 1914. Regards from Geoff McCarten.

I will be next week
Going to visit a few collectors in the Czech Republic and attend an engine show there.
Then going to Hungary and we will try visiting a couple engine museums and some collectors there as well.
Should be another interesting European engine trip.

George
