Long-Long term, I think I would like to build an accurate full scale petroleum fueled Brayton engine like the one in the Smithsonian (Bethlehem location) or in the Henry Ford Museum - Wayne

Wayne, followed the restoration like many others. Beautiful restoration and she runs nicely.
Well worth the effort. Thanks for allowing us to witness your work. Frank

The Crossley has made the first leg of its journey home. Last weekend my dad and I delivered the engine to Coolspring where it has been set up on display in the Susong/Foster bld for their June show. From there it will be heading back to Kansas before making a stop at the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion in Rollag Sept 2nd - the 5th. For the time being, it is in good company along side the more than 13 other flame engines showcased in the incredible array of historic iron in the newly expanded building.

On the trailer in its mostly water tight cocoon during the soggy four hour trip. A quick stop at Walmart along the way for an additional tarp and several rolls of duct tape.

.
With the trailer backed up to the building it was unloaded and rolled into position.

.
Set in place where it will be displayed this June (comfortably resting along side the 10 HP slide valve Schleicher that was moved into the building last month).

I very much looking forward to seeing it in person.

The last time I saw it at Wayne's place the more modern head was still on it.
