I am from the Netherlands.
My collection is mainly American made engines and my 7hp Stickney tops my collection. I also have a big 7 hp Root & VanderVoort vertical hoist that is pretty rare. I do have an English Blackstone, a French Japy and Czech Wichterle sideshaft, and Wichterle-Kovarik ss.

Alenjadro, I have been to Oaxaca a few times, but never saw any engines. I guess I was in the wrong place. I did see some John Deere As on display out in front of a bussiness. I have also been to Africa once and saw more then a few Lister type flywheel engines. I even walked into a store and they had about 3 rebuilt engines. To bad there are no stores here like that.

The proof is I'm the only one on this and in so many other forums. This is a shame, but I'm not worried about this. Thanks for visit Mexico you and everybody are welcome anytime. Hi vern0n,

I am from Victoria, Australia. Was lucky enough to spend 7 years living in the UK. I have a soft spot for Continental European engines.

I have a couple of US engines, one of my favourites is the Sturtevant pictured below. It looks to be very well built which is probably not surprising given they built aircraft engines.

Regards,

Wayne

VernOn - I live in Southern Ontario, Canada very close to Lake Erie on the Highway That runs between Buffalo NY and Detroit Michigan. I have numerous common US built engines as well as some not so common, including a 20HP Reid which came off an Oil well in West Virginia a few years ago. I try to collect Canadian built engines of which I have quite a few, including several Monarchs which were built very close to where I live. I also have Acadias and Desjardins among the mix. Recently I have added a couple Czechoslovakian engines to the herd to bring the shideshaft aspect into the picture. These are 3-4 HP Lorenz and 4-5 HP Lorenz. Larry.

Vernon ........I live in the coastal town of Albany on the south coast of Western Australia . Some years ago I decided not to be a collector.A few reasons ,there s no end to it ,you soon run out of room ,and you can not take them all to shows . So I have given some away to friends .I enjoy finding them and restoring them . My ambition has always been to find an engine that no one else has . I have achieved this twice ,the first was a 1900 Trusty Oil Engine ,this engine is in the custody of a club that I used to belong to so it is not mine ,but I did find it ! The second is mine and to date I have not found or heard of anyone who has one the same . It is now in the final stages of restoration ,it is a 1900's Pasley Oil Engine .

I live I Sweden, and is the second generation of collectors. I do not know how many engines we have, me and my brother but it would be a couple of hundreds I guess. We do not count them in numbers but well value them from other criteria's. It is mainly Swedish hot bulbs of various kinds usually with names you would not recognize. Vertical and Horizontal hot bulbs of which some 25 is open cranks. Normally these are two stroke but the earlier ones are four strokes.
But also some American engines as they have been quite common over here. Only a few, odd numbers of British and German engines, as well as from Holland, Finland, Norway and Denmark. The more valued engines from USA would be our 1902 F-M standard, IHC famous 1917.
