Have you tried contacting any old engine clubs in Canada ? Here in the U.S they didn't make many of those engines. I have only seen a few videos on YouTube about Iron Horses. I have 5 of those engines 4 Canada built ones and 1 U.S. built. 3 of mine are going to need carbs. Maybe run a ad on Craigslist in Canada ? I plan to trade my Iron Horses in the future for some more Briggs or Clinton engines. Briggs and Clinton engines are easier and cheaper to find parts for. I wish you luck on your search.

Benny, check with the Antique Outboard Motor Club guys at aomci.org I believe that that Tillotson or a model darn close is pretty common on several vintage outboards.

Is this the style of carburetor you are looking for
These were used on the X500 Canadian made Iron-Horse and can also be found on 2 U.S. made X400 engines.

Other companies did copy this engine

Cooper, Marino come to mind

I have found the best way to get Johnson Iron-Horse parts are by buying another engine

I have a U.S. built Iron Horse model X515 that looks like the one Bosma posted above with that style of fuel tank and carb. All my Iron Horse engines made in Canada have a different style of carb. I got all 5 of mine from the same seller over of about a year. The fellow I got them from had another one with a generator hooked to it.

I have models 300 , 400 , 500 all 4 cycle and a LP2 2 cycle Canadian built
I also have the CH27-1 generator which produces 110 volt ac and 6 volt dc,
I do not have many with your style of carb thou
Not many around, and I live about a 1 hr drive from where they were made.
I'm not sure if there is a extra carb kicking around, will keep my eye out, I will message another collector and see if he will chime in on your post
At home and at my dads where the engines are I always see a part for one here or there, I have one of the largest collection of Johnson Iron-Horse in my area, too many to remember them all, I have 40 yrs playing with them

I have an Iron Horse (I think itís all there...) apart in a box. There is a carb with it. Would be complete if it wasnít missing the high speed needle assy. Everything else looks good.
P. M. me....
