Default Help with Stover CT2

How much oil in Stover CT2 and what type to use?
Are there any manuals available for this engine?

Manuals are available and they won't tell you how much oil to put in the crankcase. There is a drain plug and a fill level plug so you will know when you have enough oil. If I remember right, it's less than a quart.
Good luck, Bud

Click on "Sponsors" at the top of the SmokStak page. It will take you to the business cards of people offering goods and services.
Starbolt Engine Supplies, Lee Pederson, and Hit and Miss Enterprises all list the Stover CT manual in their on-line catalogs. There is a link to each vendor's website on their respective business card.

In short: drain out old oil. Re-install drain plug. remove upper level plug and add SAE 30 oil slowly, until oil flows out the upper hole. re-install plug and you are set. remember to oil all outside oiling points: valves, rockers and linkages. READ Kirks post - he gave excellant advice!
