I was able to spend two out of the four days at the show, Friday and Saturday. Lots of neat stuff and plenty of old and new friends.

Justin has his 1906 20 HP Fairbanks Morse Type N Special Electric engine there in the Lillibridge building. It has the five cell nickel iron Edison battery too.

This year, a ships horn was on site and it was LOUD. It's off a super tanker and has a 17" diaphragm.

No doubt at all it was lunch time

Here's a walk thru of the three engine buildings, starting with the Willock building, thru the Power House and ending up at the Lillibridge building.

The ships horn was loud, but it seemed they didnt have enough pressure to operate properly. It only sounded right for a split second before turning into a low frequency rumble. Was this the same on as was at Coolspring? Did you get to see the engines in or near the model building? lots of nice engines there too. The noon whistle is always a great event at R&T!

It is the same horn from Coolspring. The low tone is the correct sound for the horn. Low frequencies travel farther through the air than high frequencies.
