Default Wisconsin THD carb kit

This is my first Wisconsin to work on it is a 6000 watt generator with a THD Spec 217054 ser 5334118. The carb is a L48C OS1329 and would like to know what the zenith kit # is correct for this carb. There seem to be many out there and they all look similar. Thanks for any info.

The Zenith S1329 L48C uses the Wisconsin LQ-38 repair kit. You can purchases these parts from Tim Stine 1-814-766-3675. Keep in mind that the L48C is not the original carburetor for your engine. It would have used an aluminum body L-63-C. It is not an issue, both carburetors have an 18mm venturi, so performance will be about the same. I like the cast iron L48 carburetors better anyways. Good luck with your engine. The THD's are a sweet running engine at 1800rpm.

usually a needle & seat, and a bowl gasket is all you need. The kits have way too much "extras".

Thanks for the info, probably could have gotten away with a few gaskets. Any idea what year this might be, links don't seem to work anymore. Also best way to clean a gas tank? Thanks!

Your engine was built in 1974. What does your generator have for a fuel tank, a day tank built into the frame?, a ~3 gallon tank vertically mounted to the side of the engine with a standpipe? or ? Is the tank plastic or metal? If the tank is small enough and easy enough to remove, and metal; I would recommend removing it from the generator, pouring a handful or two of lock washers, nuts and small bolts into the tank, add a pint of old gas and shake it around vigorously until your hands get numb. Rinse and repeat several times or until the tank is clean. Blow dry with compressed air. The THD at 1800rpm at 50% load will burn 0.75 gallon of fuel per hour. At 75% load it will burn 1 gallon of fuel per hour. At full load it will burn 1.28 gallons of fuel per hour.
