Default Lunkenheimer oiler

I picked up a Lunkenheimer No. 4 "ALSEN" oiler. It has a sight glass below and the regular drip adjustment on top, but the body is of cast aluminum with a brass butterfly type swinging cover. Anybody know anything about these?

Hi Glenn, I have one of these too, They were rough service oil cups used on heavy industrial equipment and severe railroad service. I'm told they were offered in the catalog a short time and are not commonly seen today. My Lunkenheimer catalog #53 from 1953 shows this oiler. They only offer the one size the #4 in the #53 catalog.
