Default South Dakota Museums Thanks to Tom Cwach!

Just wanted to tell any Stakkers that if they get a chance they need to go see what South Dakota has to offer. Had a chance in the last few days to visit the SD State Ag Museum in Brookings and got a personal tour of the "warehouse". Great folks and an awesome collection of everything farm and mechanical.
Then thanks to fellow stakker Tom Cwach I visited the little village farm museum in Trent SD, and met it's caretakers Jim and Joan Lacey. Some of the finest people I have met and an incredible collection of everything. Spent 4 hours and could have spent 4 more days just looking and laughing and telling stories and learning!
Please don't miss them, you won't be disappointed.

Jim lives in a barn don't know if you caught and you were like 15miles SW of Flandreau which is the biggest city in Trent's County or MOODY. And Brookings is 20 minutes north so you were in Peterson Land . Shucks that we didn't know all of this till now but it is true....And Tom is in Yankton which is on Border of South Dakota and Nebraska. I am glad you enjoyed my Area as I am busy with Ag Class and Land Juding for SD FFA. Lots of Farmers in Brookings County and Moody huh? Well our area is really Good for Beans and Corn. But hope you enjoyed Jim Lacey's Big Show Grounds(Jim is the Annoucer for the Briden Sawmill at Rollag MN to let you know)

We can't go no money or Time....Plus I am getting ready for winter projects like Tractors and my 5engine projects. We were in Viborg for a wedding yesterday so we were close but not close enough.

Thanks again guys,

You live in a beautiful place, much prettier south of the border than the rest of the drive from Winnipeg, through ND.
I just drove back up north today, but not before running over to Murdo to the Pioneer Auto Show and then came back up through western MN as far as Whapeton.
You have to understand that the province i live in is the smallest in Canada. I can drive it tip to tip in under 5 hours east/west and in places 20 minutes north/south. Just a bit different than the prairies. Now those giant sized prairie tractors make sense!
Beautiful place, wonderful people and lots of "junk" that's my kind of road trip, think I took @ 500 pics.
If anybody gets a chance to come east let me know and we will show you around.
Thanks, Scott Newson
