Default 6B-HS Points?

In replacing the points and condenser in my lawnmower engine I noticed the points will not move upon rotating the blade . I seem to be able to rock the plunger slightly but no in and out movement that opens and closes the points . What could be stuck ? No access from the top for this .

Plunger is worn off at the end. One upon a time, a new plunger came with each set of points and condenser.

The plunger will break if you get rough with it. Always good to have extra parts or a whole parts engine.

Plunger part number 65704. Your local Briggs dealer should have them. Old part number for complete ign kit with plunger and plastic compression tool for condenser spring #299061
