Lawrence,

It isn't "my" show, it belongs to the members....I just happen to be the person who writes the checks

I just want to make sure that Dan's pretty paint job isn't scratched by a jealous Tiger which will make the Banner Boy moon it!

Lots of new adventures will be had this year.........

Beth

A. D. Baker,

She sounds nice...but I still like the "roar" of the ol' Gaar's!

How many of these will be roaring (meowing...) next month?

Alan, Andy or Sam, can you post who's whose?

Thanks,

Lawrence, Collin Hall, Nick Feltas and I decided we should check out the 40 before heading to NTA. We had it on a Baker Fan at about 1/3 throttle for 30 minutes or so. We have do have a short list of items to tend to, but should be no problem getting them done before loading up in just two weeks from today and starting the sojourn to Ohio. We are planning to arrive on or before Wednesday noon. I took a few videos. One from the side of the engine, one from the Crow's Nest, and one while standing on the saddle tank.

Jerred,

Thanks for the clips. I'm looking forward to seeing it under steam and under a load. Might one of the short list of things to do be reattaching the missing frivets? (I know, "frivets" have their own thread) There seems to be multiple methods and each has its own pro & con.

The show is quickly approaching and the time is short to get a LOT of things done....for anyone who wishes to help, weather permitting, we are shocking barley this Monday, June 13 at about 6:00. We'll be picking it up during the show.

I have 58 full and scale engines on the list today. It will change multiple times between now and June 24, but look for a great selection of Gaar Scott traction and portable engines. Port Hurons (well of course), Russells, Nichols & Shepards, a Kitten, Bakers, Advances, a Leader, a Peerless, Advance Rumely, and even a Case or two There will be a steam boat (hopefully no ponds in the infield for it to steam in) for those who prefer water. Lots of tractors, several Oil Pulls, Prairie tractors, gas engines, models, and many other items...Kramer's Road Loco will be hauling folks around for rides and out to the plowing area.

We'll be looking for you! ...gotta go shine up that Port Huron and Model A!

Beth

Mike,

I have 18 from the 150 portable (a debate is raging as to whether it is a 50 or a 150 because it is a portable...) to the 40 down to 2 half scales and the 6 hp portable along with the 4 hp engine only.

Pop that 13 on a trailer and head North! I hear some other folks from TN have a plan to scoot up for a day or so...hop a ride.

Mike,

Haven't you completed your "extra credit" work to get that "Hall Pass?" Travis keeps calling me about your 13 and how HE has possession....

Bring your musical instruments because the Friday night Fiddler's Contest had to be cancelled due to lack of entrants. People love to watch, but we don't seem to hav a lot of "fiddlers" up here We do feature the high school group "Fiddler's Restrung" before the contest. They will still be playing.

Hey Beth, thanks for thinking of me!! At present, I'm still planning to be there. While I don't want to seem to put my nose up at the old tractors, gas, I'm still favoring steam. Either way, I'm sure that there'll be more than enough to see and do. The only downside to it is that it'll leave me even sadder about not being able to afford an engine myself, or have a place to keep it. LOL I'll be there with (some) tools, video camera, and lots of enthusiasm.

Appreciate the engines in their working glory and the blood, sweat, and tears ($$) that got them there!

I too, (obviously) prefer steam, but we do have some really neat tractors and don't forget Binns' steam boat! It hasn't been there before, but I've ridden in it..BEAUTIFUL!

I think have a featured brand of engine for a show is great (regardless of brand), but I think that people that bring their tractor, gas engines, and steamers year in and year out are the ones the make the show in the long run.

I wonder how a show featuring "Youth engineers" would go over ? Or a show featuring "Lady engineers"..... any body else have any ideas ?

Beth,
You gonna send us a check for hauling on the 13? Fuel's pretty expen$ive nowadays. Also, just curious which one of our TN shows you're planning on attending this year, I recommend either Adams or Portland....

Hillbilly! It would be funny to see you crawl in to you firebox. Your little kitty cat will be o.k. back there by itself, you dont need to ride in there... We'll strap you to the trailer so you can get some fresh air when we come to pick you up!!!
