Default Wisconsin AEND

OK guys, I'm a sucker for single cylinder Wisconsin engines and I'm thinking of bidding on Ebay Item number: 280857973222. The sheet metal looks good. The owner said it needs a coil for it's magneto and starter pulley. It looks like a Fairbanks Morse unit. Are coils still available for this magneto? Thanks, Jim

If you don't get that one, I have a MAENLD (Military AENL with Stellite exhaust valve) we can discuss. Complete, except for fuel tank, but has a short shaft. Good mag & starter pulley.....

Coils are available but expensive. Working used mags are available for ~$25 though. An AENL mag will work fine for it, or you can buy one & swap out the coil.

I will be picking up the above engine next weekend. What is the difference between an AEN and an AENL. How does the AENL pick up the extra 1HP? Thanks, Jim

Higher compression & slightly more spark advance. Pretty much all AENL parts will work on the AEN.
