Unhappy Help With Maytag WB Appreciated

Hello,
I am not sure how to use this site yet. I have a model 92 Maytag that I put together following what I think are the proper procedures. It is getting spark. It fired and almost ran then quit. Still getting spark but not even a hint of firing, even with priming. Checked carburetor setting and also check valve free and clear. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Lee

Quick question, did you remove the stationary side of the points when cleaning all up? If so, you'll need a locator tool to set the points in the proper place and firing at the correct time.

Check compression. You may have a valve stuck open. Had this happen on other engines. Good Luck.

Gotta keep them Maytag 92 valve guides lubricated or they'll hang up the valve stems.....sorry, the devil made me say it.

A bunch of comedians! reset the carburetor needle valve stop. Fired up and runs like a wristwatch, Thanks, even to the guys that put valves in 2 strokes.

Did you take your carb apart and check the air valve, seat, and spring?
