Default Norm Kohls

Norm Kohls, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI has passed away. Norm was primarily a tractor collector but did have a few gas engines and was active in the Plainfield Wisconsin club. He was a good guy and will be missed by all who knew him.
Here is Norm's obit:
Norman B. Kohls, 76, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away unexpectedly on September 19, 2016 at Ministry St. Clares Hospital in Weston, WI.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is assisting the family, online condolences may be expressed at www.taylorfuneralhome.net.

Norman was born in Marshfield, WI on October 1, 1939 to Bernard and Cornelia (Gansch) Kohls. He met the love of his life while still in high school at a basketball game, and a few years later he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart Linda Stillman on August 19, 1961 in Pittsville, WI.

Norman graduated from Auburndale High School in 1959. He worked at Consolidated Papers for 43 years and retired as a Turbine Operator. In his earlier years, Norman owned and operated a dairy farm for 20 years. Norman enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and snowmobiling at his cabin up north. Recently, he spent a lot of time with his best friend Kenny including several fishing trips to Alaska. Norman loved tractors, he was the President of the Plainfield Threshermens tractor club for many years. He collected over 20 tractors & restored all kinds, but John Deere was his favorite. Norman was a social butterfly and had many friends, both young and old. He loved having his family together on the holidays, and cherished the time spent with them.

Norman is survived by his wife: Linda, 4 children: Randal (Jennifer), Scott (Lory), Lisa (Jeff) Joslin, Troy (Rachel); 5 grandchildren: Corey, Jacob, Jared, Morgan, Evelyn and one on the way.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents: Bernard and Cornelia Kohls and son, Kevin.

The family would like to thank the Vesper First Responders, United Ambulance Service and the staff at Riverview Hospital and Ministry St. Clares Hospital. They would also like to say a special thank you to Sara from St. Clares Hospital.
