Default Majestic 3 HP # 202475 Head Gasket.....

I suspect my head gasket is leaking just enough to kill my ignition...
Any reason I can't remove the 4 bolts, pop the head off and put down some red permatex to seal this up?
Also.....bottom of my fuel tank, rear mounted behind flywheels,is level with air intake on mixer. The feed pipe, check ball, and hardware are all intact....i have a sediment bowl with shutoff needle mounted to tank, and 1/8 flared copper line running to the fuel tee below mixer....
one turn of the needle at sediment bowl and fuel starts running out of the air intake....
But not always....
Is the check ball floating and letting too much fuel pass?

Chances are the red permatex isn’t going to hold against compression pressure. New head gasket material is available from Lee Pederson, an advertiser here, as well as other places. I like to coat them with coppercoat to seal the inevitable rough surfaces. Your gas tank is too high. The TOP of the tank must be below the mixer. I’ve reduced my Majestic stash down to 5 so I might have been there before. I wish I knew what happened to the Majestic page also. The owners list was handy. Bob H
