Photo Excelsior jr.3 1/2 hp consolidated gas eng #cc14404

looking for any info and pics for a excelsior jr.. i did find some info in wendels book.was wondering if its a rare find i just bought it at jacktown yesterday. looks like all the parts are there but its stuck and rusted also with a broken webster on it. pb blaster soaking it goes.

Thyey were a re-tagger. I've seen Wittes & Nelson Bros. with that tag. How about some photos of the engine?

Looks like it might have been manufactured by W.T. Rawleigh. Check numbers on the Webster bracket. They might be on the bottom of bracket or under the mag.

yes it looks like a w.t rawleigh. i saw your pics of the 2 1/2 hp only real differance is the fuel tank. would it be possable for you to email me more pics of your engine . close up of the ignitor and the cam gear area. that was the side of the engine that was in the mud thanks john

The serial number would have it as a Rawleigh Schryer built engine. Consolidated sold Rawleigh Schryer engines under the Excelsior name. They sold engines from many companies of the time hence the name Consolidated Engine Company.

where the engines painted per the engine mfg. or the relabel?
