Default Kohler Kohler 300W Belt Generator

Bought this at a sale with a 8HP Briggs and Stratton motor. Didnt look at the output until after the sale, 300W. Curious to see if anybody collects these.
thanks I appreciate your help.

Sure it's not a 3000 (3kW) watt generator?

A 300 watt generator would need nothing approaching an 8HP engine.

There should be a nameplate on it. Post a picture if possible, tat way we can tell for sure.

I don't know about prior to the 1970s, but in the 1980s there were two two bearing generators that were sold, a 3.5kW and a 5kW.

I'm betting it's a 3000 watt generator.

Being a belt drive someone COULD have connected a 300 watt head.... But if a factory model I'd think closer to 5.5KW. My 9hp Lombardini diesel cranks out a solid 6.5KW.
I agree that pics would help clarify question.

Kohler never made a two bearing generator of that size that I am aware of. Only two bearing generators I ever saw when I worked there were the 3.5kW and 5kW that were variants of the same sized portables of the time.
