It is with heavy heart indeed that I have to report the passing of fellow tractor collector and dear friend Verlan Heberer of Belleville IL. On Sun 8-23-15 He was injured in a tractor involved accident, he passed away last night at the hospital in St Louis Mo. He was well known for his extensive John Deere and vintage auto collections. He was in the process of getting ready for his fourth dispersal sale of vintage machinery in
October. He was thinning out his collection to have it a manageable size for his heirs as he was getting older and didn't want them to have to deal with things after he was gone. Don't know the details of what happened yet. Words cannot express my sadness of this news. Frank J Wurth Sr.
