Default Internal rust in Piston Water Pump

I have at least 15 piston water pumps. Most I have acquired are in poor shape internally . Lack of draining just terrible rust from moisture left in even after draining . I was told run antifreeze through them to help prevent rust I'm running -20 through all my pumps what do ya think ?
