Default Allis Chalmers ‘44 B Service advice

Howdy all,

Newby here...

I recently acquired a 44 Allis Chalmers B. The tractor runs fantastic. I would like to flush the radiator, do an oil change, replace trans fluid and replace the fluid in differential after the tractor sat for many years.

What brand fluids are preferred?

What weight oil? What fluid for the dif?

Is there a specific coolant?

Thanks a bunch!
Matt

50/50 for the anti freeze. 30 wt motor oil for the engine. Gear oil for differential and transmission. I personaly like mystic jt7 but any 85/140 will be fine. No synthetics.

Very nice. Thanks!

These are the specs I’ve got for fluid capacities-

Diff 6qt
Trans with pto 7qts
Oil 4qts
Radiator 8qts

Do those seem right?

My 1940 model b has hydraulics, and it specs 20w oil for the trans, which is also the hyd reservoir. Gear oil would probably be too thick.
