Question John Deere 40: would you put the correct tires on?

So My grandfather who also collected and hobby farmed bought this JD 40 a while back at on auction. It was on a sod farm, and they pulled gang mowers, and the flail mower that is on it it the picture with it. The apparently put the bigger tires (and turf tires) on it so it wouldn't damage their crop. When he passed away I inherited the JD40. I would like to do something with it someday, it's rough but easily workable.

The question is would you put it back on the original sized tires (I think the rims are the correct rims) or leave it as it was being used last, on the over-sized turf tires?

Are you going to work or show this tractor or both?

Both maybe, probably not work it to much, so more show. I was thinking current tires on is more "working clothes" look.

Even if you restore it, I would leave it with the tires and equipment that's on it.. It would stand out more at a show and look a little different than all the other 40's that would be there!! After all, that's part of it's history!

I seem to recall those original sized tires being hellishly expensive
